These terms and conditions apply to all bookings at Wagtail Park, 23 North Lane, Huntington, York YO32 9SU, operated by Legal business name. By making a booking, you agree to these terms on behalf of everyone in your party. Please read them alongside our site rules.
Booking & Payment Terms
- The person making the booking must be aged 18 or over and must stay on the park for the whole booking.
- A booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit amount, e.g. 25% deposit or full payment and sent you a booking confirmation.
- The remaining balance is due e.g. on arrival, or X days before arrival.
- Prices are per pitch or pod, per night, and include e.g. up to 2 adults, electric hook-up. Extra guests are charged at rate.
- Minimum stays may apply at peak times and bank holidays: minimum stay rules.
- Pitches are allocated by the park. We will try to meet pitch requests but cannot guarantee a specific pitch.
- Please tell us the length of your caravan or motorhome when booking so we can allocate a suitable pitch.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you cancel
Please let us know in writing by email as soon as possible. Refunds depend on how much notice you give:
- e.g. More than 28 days before arrival: full refund less a £X admin fee
- e.g. 14 to 28 days before arrival: deposit retained
- e.g. Less than 14 days, or no-show: full booking cost retained
No refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or bad weather. We recommend taking out holiday insurance to cover unexpected cancellation.
Bookings for accommodation on specific dates are not covered by the 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If we cancel
If we have to cancel your booking for reasons within our control, we will offer alternative dates or a full refund of all money paid. We are not liable for cancellation caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, flooding or government restrictions; in these cases we will offer alternative dates or a refund.
Site Code of Conduct
- Arrival and departure: touring and tent pitches from 12:00pm, camping pods from 2:00pm. All guests must leave by 11:00am.
- Quiet hours: 10:00pm to 8:00am every night.
- Dogs: up to 3 well-behaved dogs per touring or tent pitch, kept on a lead at all times. Owners must clean up after their dogs.
- Camping pods: strictly no pets in or around the pods. Assistance dog wording to be confirmed
- Driving: drive slowly at all times within the park.
- Fishing: the lake is for park guests only, and all fishing rules must be followed.
- Barbecues and fires: Barbecue and fire rule to be supplied
- Visitors: Visitor rule to be supplied
We reserve the right to ask any guest whose behaviour causes a nuisance, danger or damage to leave the park without a refund.
Liability & general terms
- Guests are responsible for their own property, vehicles and equipment while on the park.
- Guests are responsible for any damage caused by members of their party or their dogs.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, especially near the lake.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
